The Way He Looks
This delightful film is the feature version of one of the great gay short films, I Don’t Want to Go Back Alone (watch online now), and is the winner of the Teddy Award for Best Feature Film at Berlin Film Festival 2014 (previous winners include In the Name Of and Keep the Lights On) and the Audience Award winner at Frameline 2014 in San Francisco (previous winners include Reaching for the Moon and Cloudburst).

Leonardo, a blind teenager living in Brazil, is trying to break away from his protective parents and live independently. His best friend Giovana guides him home from school every day, but soon finds herself replaced by the new boy at school, Gabriel. Leonardo falls completely in love with Gabriel, but isn’t sure how to tell him. Positive and affirming, this is destined to be a much-loved classic.
