The 8th Queer Screen Film Fest will host a variety of screenings and events from the 17-27 September 2020.
We will screen one film in Paddington at the Chauvel Cinema, will host a Double Feature at the Skyline Drive in at Blacktown and, for the first time ever, will have the majority of our films available to stream online. Meaning you can choose which film you want to watch – and the when and how!
No! The beauty of online is that from 7pm September 17th 2020 until 11:59pm September 27th 2020, you will have access to all films in the online festival program for the entire duration of the festival (17-27 September). You choose where and when!
You can hit play at any point during the festival period and will have 48 hours to finish watching the film.

Films are available to watch online from within Australia only
From the moment you press play, a film will be available for 48 hours. You can rewind, forward through, pause or exit and restart the film within that time frame.
Access to all content will cease at 11.59pm AEST on Sunday 27 September 2020. Please ensure you have sufficient time to watch all purchased films as refunds will not be given for unwatched or unfinished films.
For those who are familiar with Queer Screen, the process for buying a ticket has not changed – just login to your account and start purchasing!
For those new to Queer Screen, you will need to create a new account and password.

All of our tickets will be available within your account to access anytime between the festival dates.
Queer Screen Film Fest will have three types of passes available for online sessions only: an Online Pass 3, Online Pass 5 and an All Access Online Pass. So you can watch, 3, 5 or ALL online sessions!
You will still need to book a ticket to each film you want to see with your online pass – this includes the Online All In Pass. Simply follow the instructions on the receipt and book a spot for the films you’d like to see.
Passes are not redeemable for our in person and drive-in sessions: Welcome to Chechnya, Stage Mother or Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
Some online sessions may sell out! Why? Well, some films have a limited streaming capacity due to arrangements with filmmakers, sales agents and distributors and the classification board.
Yes! We are happy to announce THREE short film packages (Gay Shorts, Lesbian Shorts and Trans & Gender Diverser Shorts) will be available for free. You will need to login to your account to get your free ticket. And note that like the other films, there are limited tickets available.
We will also have a bunch of free Filmmaker Q&A’s, In Conversations and our short film competition Queer Screen Pitch Off).
Members still receive discounted tickets for all sessions, including in person and online screenings.
Members’ queues will not be in action at QSFF20 for in person screenings, so please make sure you arrive on time or at least 20 minutes before a session to ensure a spot.

While opportunities to volunteer at events are currently limited, there are many opportunities which come up year round. Register as a volunteer to stay in the loop.
