Queer Screen’s 2017 Frank Wells Volunteer Award announced

Once again Queer Screen joined the celebrations of Australia Volunteer Week by hosting a volunteer function where the Queer Screen’s 2017 Frank Wells Volunteer Award was announced.

Congratulations to this year’s winner Adrik Kemp, who contributed to Queer Screen as a synopsis and program writer and was also the main drive behind Queer Screen’s float in this year’s Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade. This was a fun and engaging experience for our volunteers, after many years of being absent from the Parade.

This year runners-up were Kyle Goldfinch for his regular volunteering at the office and his success with youth engagement at MGFF2017, and Benson Wu for his great contribution to the social media team and for putting together the MGFF2017 festival trailer.

Great picks among a talented team with so many generous contributors.
