From the very opening moments of narration from Bowen Yang (Fire Island) as a very camp, gay God, this chaotic musical comedy from the director of Borat is as lewd, crude and over-the-top as the title suggests.
Two self-obsessed businessmen (writers Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp) discover they are long-lost identical twins and come together to plot the reunion of their eccentric divorced parents, in this riotously funny and depraved musical riff on The Parent Trap. Featuring gleefully unhinged performances from Nathan Lane (The Birdcage) as their newly out, sewer monster-loving father; Megan Mullally (Will & Grace) as their shut-in, pussy-losing mother, and rapper Megan Thee Stallion as their power suit-wearing, alpha boss, this all-singing, all-dancing comedy was made to be seen with a crowd of cackling queers.
“Dicks: The Musical isn’t for everyone and it knows it. But for those seeking something outrageously funny and inventive, it’s the perfect cure for what ails you.”
– The Wrap
“Imagine Little Shop of Horrors as conceived by some combination of John Waters and a gay version of Russ Meyer.”
