Acclaimed Australian filmmaker Sophie Hyde will sit down with writer Benjamin Law for a wide-ranging discussion about her storied career.
Sophie Hyde is a director, producer and writer, and co-founder of Closer Productions and The Unquiet Collective, from Adelaide. Her work includes the BAFTA- and Golden Globe-nominated Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, the award-winning 52 Tuesdays, Animals, F*!#ing Adelaide, The Hunting and Life in Movement. Sophie will give insights into her work and creative processes, including how queerness has permeated her filmography, from her 2007 My Queer Career-nominated short film My Last Ten Hours with You to the festival’s Opening Night film, Jimpa.
