Rains Over Babel

A delirious, queer reframing of Dante’s Inferno as a neon-drenched tropical fantasy charged with punk spirit and camp spectacle, where the boundary between life and death dissolves after dark.

Presided over by La Flaca – Death personified – the mythical bar Babel becomes a nocturnal crossroads where souls gamble years of their lives in pursuit of escape, redemption or one last chance at love. Across a single electric night, a constellation of outsiders converges: a man racing to reclaim his decomposing body, a preacher’s son on the brink of his drag debut, lovers fighting to save their families and wanderers reckoning with unfinished pasts. As their paths intertwine, memory, faith and consequence collide.

Music, movement and heightened performance fuse into a kaleidoscopic experience celebrating reinvention, defiance, and collective, myth-inflected surrealism. Rains Over Babel is a choral fantasy that’s funny, sensual and defiantly bold.
