The Accidental Archivist

The Accidental Archivist profiles Julie Peters, the first trans woman to run for Federal and Victorian State parliaments.

Outside of her political career, the film also looks at Julie’s extensive collection of trans-related media she’s compiled since her early 20s, and her courageous story of transitioning while working at the ABC in the 1990s.

Content warning: contains discussions of self-harm and suicide ideation, transphobia and misgendering
