Mike Whalley

Mike is a longtime leader in workplace inclusion and diversity, and was first involved with Queer Screen as a corporate sponsor. As co-Chair, he is excited to continue community advocacy work, and help bolster governance to ensure the organisation can continue to support queer film long into the future.

Mike works in Technology Consulting, and has worked in sales, delivery, commercial & operational management of large-scale consulting and outsourcing projects. He has worked across APAC, Europe and the US.

He helped establish Accenture’s global LGBT committee back in 2009, and more recently led the Australia/New Zealand PrideAtAccenture network, working with the marriage equality campaign.

Originally from the UK, Mike has lived in Australia for well over a decade. He’s been involved in a number of community advocacy roles during that time, including helping to run Mardi Gras Fair Day for six years, and has been on the committees of both Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir, and Melbourne Pride Chorus.
