Emerging Narrative Feature Film Competition
To be eligible the film must be the director's first or second narrative feature film, with a runtime of 60 minutes or more, that was completed after January 1, 2025. Films must be at minimum a Sydney Premiere.
LGBTQIA+ Feature Film
To be eligible the film must be a narrative, documentary or hybrid film with a runtime of 60 minutes or more, that was completed after January 1, 2025. Films that have played in Sydney before the festival dates are eligible, but priority will be given to films that are at minimum a Sydney Premiere.
LGBTQIA+ Short Film
To be eligible the film must be a narrative, documentary or hybrid short film with a runtime of 30 minutes or less, that was completed after January 1, 2025. Films that have played in Sydney before the festival dates are eligible, but priority will be given to films that are at minimum a Sydney Premiere.

This initiative is an opportunity for up-and-coming filmmakers to win $10,000 in funding for a short film project from Queer Screen!
Feature Competition Jury
