National Reconciliation Week Screening

During National Reconciliation Week 2021, ACON and Queer Screen are proud to present a matinee screening of Occupation: Native, a powerful film that bites back at Australian history and reframes the Aboriginal story in the historical narrative.

Sunday, 30 May, 1pm, Event Cinemas George Street.

Directed by Aboriginal filmmaker Trisha Morton-Thomas, Occupation: Native was nominated for two ATOM Awards for Best Historical Documentary and Best Indigenous Resource.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and afternoon tea.

Admission is free. RSVP essential. Limited capacity.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Lands on which we work, and where this event will take place—The Gadigal People of the Eora Nation—and pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.
