Directed by Roshan Sethi, A NICE INDIAN BOY has screened at the BFI London Film Festival and SXSW Austin, and features an A-list cast including Jonathan Groff (Hamilton), Karan Soni (Deadpool), Sunita Mani, and stand-up sensation Zarna Garg in her feature film debut.
“Seeing Jonathan Groff in a romance is a rare pleasure. I love stand-up phenomenon Zarna Garg, and it’s a treat to see her in her first feature film. And it is an enormous delight to see Karan Soni, best known as the taxi driver fanboy in the Deadpool movies, and Sunita Mani—so often in smaller roles—here given significant, layered characters, which they play with exceptional heart and sensitivity in an endearing story of romance, family, and dancing at Indian weddings. I enjoyed it immensely.” — Nell Minow, RogerEbert.com
When Naveen (Karan Soni, Deadpool) brings his fiancé Jay (Jonathan Groff, Looking) home to meet his traditional Indian family, they must contend with accepting his white-orphan-artist partner and helping them plan the Indian wedding of their dreams.
