Queer films at Taiwan Film Festival

The Taiwan Film Festival in Australia is partnering up with the Taiwan International Queer Film Festival to bring us more queer stories from Taiwan to audiences here in Australia. Don’t miss Taipei Dad, New York Mom (2019) by Mickey Chen, one of the most iconic queer filmmakers and activists from Taiwan. This is an emotional and intimate autobiographical documentary.

The Festival is also screening their Queer Shorts Selection, with three outstanding short films from Taiwan including an epic homoerotic fantasy The Glamorous Boys of Tang (2018).

Also screening is Adju (2021) which follows a Taiwanese indigenous artist who identifies as trans; and a romantic coming-of-age story Make a Wish (2020).

The Festival is screening from 28 July to 13 August 2022 across four cities (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra). Book your tickets here.
