Queer Screen Art Competition

Art Competition $2,000 Prize

Queer Screen Art Competition

Queer Screen is seeking expressions of interest from artists across Australia with disability or who are d/Deaf to supply an original artwork for use by Queer Screen.

The selected work will appear on the front cover of Queer Screen’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP), with the artist to receive $2,000.

Copyright of selected work will remain with the artist, with Queer Screen granted the right to use the work in materials associated with the promotion of our DIAP.

Detail or abstractions of the work may also be used to promote the DIAP in places such as the Queer Screen website, our email communications, and on social media. A work that can be adapted by Queer Screen for use in different contexts will be highly regarded.

Applications are open to artists within Australia with disability or who are D/deaf.

We are looking for work created in any medium that represent one or more of Queer Screen’s values: Diversity, Creativity, Inspiration, Inclusiveness and Pride.

In your application, please include an artist bio and a brief statement explaining the meaning behind the work you intend to submit, and how you think it speaks to one or more of Queer Screen’s values.

Applications are to be submitted via a google form. The application form can also be downloaded as a PDF or Word doc and emailed to vicki.gutierrez@queerscreen.org.au

Application close Wednesday 20 July, 11:59pm

If you have any questions about the application process, please contact Vicki Gutierrez on 9280 1533 or via email vicki.gutierrez@queerscreen.org.au
