For more than three decades, Queer Screen has championed LGBTIQ+ storytelling in Australia through festivals, screenings and filmmaker initiatives that bring audiences together through powerful queer stories from around the world.
Why Philanthropy Matters
Independent queer storytelling has often existed outside mainstream funding and commercial support.
Philanthropic giving helps Queer Screen champion stories and filmmakers that may otherwise struggle to be seen, while creating inclusive cultural experiences that connect communities through film.

Donor Circle Overview
The Donor Circle recognises individuals who love queer cinema and make a meaningful annual contribution to Queer Screen.
Members become part of a community that supports the future of queer storytelling and allows them to engage more deeply with the organisation and like-minded individuals through curated events and experiences.
Giving Levels
Patrons are acknowledged at the following levels:
Supporter – $1,000+ annually

- Invitation to select Donor Circle events and festival launch party
- Advance festival booking access
- Acknowledgement as a Donor Circle supporter on website (optional)
Advocate – $2,500+ annually

- Invitation to select Donor Circle events including a private donor preview screening
- Recognition as an Advocate on website and in the festival printed program guide (optional)
Patron – $5,000+ annually

- Invitation to special invitation only events during the festival and throughout the year
- Invitations to MGFF Opening Night, including VIP pre-drinks and after party
- Prominent recognition as a Patron across all platforms including website, printed program and cinema (optional)
Director’s Circle – $20,000+ annually
Director’s Circle recognises individuals and partners making a significant leadership contribution to the future of queer storytelling and Queer Screen.

- Invitation to a Director’s Dinner with filmmakers, actors and festival leadership and other Donor Circle networking events throughout the year
- Priority access to major festival and industry events
- Premium recognition as a member of the Director’s Circle across all platforms including website, printed program and cinema (optional)
- Opportunity to direct a portion of support toward specific Queer Screen initiatives and programs
