2024 Volunteer of The Year Awards

We love our vollies – without them, we literally couldn’t do what we do!

Every year, to show our appreciation and celebrate their dedication, we host the Volunteer of The Year Awards.

The nominations for Volunteer of the Year come from our dedicated cohort of staff, Board members (who are of course also volunteers) and all other people and volunteers involved with Queer Screen.

We have two annual awards, dedicated to the memory of two Queer Screen volunteers;

• The Frank Wells New Volunteer Award
• The Yunus Zeed Returning Volunteer Award

It’s a pretty big deal because our volunteers are the heart of festivals!
So, with all the thanks we can give, here are our winners:
