Dates: Thursday 7 Feb – Monday 4 March, 2019
Hours: Varies per day, total is 125 hours (pro rata)
Pay: Hourly market rate plus superannuation contribution
Reports to: Festival Operations Manager
Queer Screen is looking for the perfect person to be our Front of House Manager (‘FOH’) during the 26th Mardi Gras Film Festival. The FOH will ensure the delivery of excellent customer service at the festival venue, Event Cinemas George Street, throughout the two-week event. The role will also be responsible for venue ticket sales using Ferve. The successful applicant will enjoy working in a busy environment and can juggle multiple tasks concurrently.

Queer Screen is currently looking for two Marketing Interns to assist in marketing Queer Screen’s 26th Mardi Gras Film Festival through strategic and targeted campaigns, digital, social and cross-promotion. The successful applicant will prove an ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks; displays excellent written and verbal communications skills, be well organised and have a genuine interest in marketing and film.
Learning outcomes which can be expected to be achieved are film festival marketing strategies, not for profit arts and community marketing, outreach and communication strategies and management of professional relationships.
