Fleeing Delhi after stabbing a policeman, butch sex worker Renuka takes refuge in a northern Indian brothel. There she meets timid wannabe rapper Devika, their instant chemistry giving way to forbidden romance. When Devika reveals her own mother has promised her virginity and servitude to the highest bidder, Renuka works overtime to raise the funds to run away together. An extraordinary, haunting drama about two women rebelling against the confines of patriarchal and religious expectations.
