Lara has a long history of being involved in the queer art scene. Originally a digital artist, photographer and videographer, Lara has curated her own and various youth art exhibitions in the LGBTQI + communities in both Adelaide and Sydney. Queer Screen has always been an organization she has been inspired by and is excited that she has been given an opportunity to support Queer Screen and our film makers.

Currently Lara is an avid community activist and has been working on sub committees with the Inner West Council to activate the Inner West Pride during Mardi Gras this year, and the establishment of the Pride Center in Newtown. She also is a member of the Inner West LGBTQI working group and Company Secretary at Rainbow Families NSW Inc.

Professionally Lara has worked in community services for over twenty years, as a youth worker, social worker, manager of domestic violence refuges and in Management roles with the NSW Government. Lara has extensive experience in policy development, project & program management, and strategic planning both at a local and statewide level.
