Two trans friends work together to overcome the prejudice that overshadows every facet of their daily lives, in this surprisingly empowering and hopeful Indian drama.
On the streets of Bhopal, transgender women Laila and Roshni search for a place to call home after being abruptly evicted by their landlord. Faced with harassment and discrimination due to their gender, together they must navigate these unnecessary complexities to find moments of strength and joy in shared queer kinship. Featuring a cast composed almost entirely of newcomers, and written in consultation with its leads, the film offers a fresh perspective rarely seen on screen.
