A budding friendship between a quiet delivery driver and a gregarious amateur photographer develops into something much more on the streets of Lagos, Nigeria.

Bambino has resigned himself to a solitary life, until he meets the charming Bawa (Riyo David; Walking with Shadows, MGFF20). Drawn into his attempts to win a photography competition, Bambino joins Bawa on his explorations of the city in search of the perfect shot, as model and muse. But with Nigeria’s anti-gay laws ever looming, neither is willing to acknowledge the growing affection between them. Winner of the Teddy Award for best queer film at Berlinale, this slow-burn love story is told with tenderness and restraint.

Content warning: contains depictions of homophobia and homophobic violence, and discussions of child abuse.
