Commitment to Life delivers an inspiring look into the vital work of LA locals and LGBTIQ+ activists, including the AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), in driving public awareness towards the epidemic during the ‘80s and ‘90s. Through rarely seen interview and archival footage, it also dives into the role Hollywood star power – including Elizabeth Taylor – played in fighting stigma and misinformation, as well as influencing funding for a cure.
