It's Only Life After All

Book Tix!

It’s Only Life After All follows Grammy award winning acoustic folk-rock band the Indigo Girls behind the scenes of their decades long career.

Having gifted a generation of queer fans anthems to live by in the ‘80s and ‘90s, this trailblazing lesbian duo reveal intimate details of their sexuality, friendship and activism. Alexandria Bombach’s documentary beautifully captures how Amy Ray and Emily Saliers have shared a lifetime of music together. Through personal archive footage and interviews we discover their dedication to holding us together as a community. If you weren’t already a fan before watching this documentary, you certainly will be afterwards.

“In the SXSW documentary It’s Only Life After All, Emily Saliers and Amy Ray of indie folk rockers Indigo Girls convey what they want the audience to experience from their music: self-esteem, a shared experience, and healing, likening it almost to a warm hug from a loved one. And that’s exactly what the film provides.”
