Lauded playwright Marco Calvani’s debut feature is a sexy, poetic exploration of the cost of starting over.
Lourenço (Marco Pigossi) is an undocumented Brazilian immigrant, jilted by his boyfriend and working cash-in-hand jobs while indulging in unsatisfying hook-ups in Provincetown as he contemplates his next move. When he meets nurse Maurice (James Bland), he is swept up in the heat of their attraction and connection but struggles to let himself go with the flow. Also featuring Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei and Mya Taylor (Tangerine), this delicate film explores what it’s like to find yourself on the rocks, searching for stable ground.
